The small winery, originally known as DuVon, stood as a testament to Armand and his uncle Alex's dedication and their connection to the land. Each grape that entered its doors symbolized history, a journey, and dreams.

In 2023, friends Armand du Toit and Izak de Vries, who shared a deep passion for wine and a connection to their upbringing, embarked on a remarkable journey. They chose to blend their love for wine with the unique qualities of hand-selected grapes grown on the two farms where they had grown up. This marked the beginning of their collaboration, with winemaker Izak de Vries joining DuVon. This partnership gave rise to DuVon and DeVries Vintners, intertwining expertise, passion, and a commitment to crafting excellent wines, marking a new and exciting chapter in their shared journey.

MÉMOIRE CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2021

The DuVon & DeVries Memoire Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, is a special wine crafted by co-winemaker Armand du Toit in memory of his mother, Ida. Ida's dream of establishing a boutique winery on DuVon, where she planted the first Cabernet Sauvignon block in 2004, inspired this wine.

It boasts classic notes of blackberries, cigar box flavours, a touch of spiciness, and firm tannins, all culminating in a delicate finish. This Cabernet Sauvignon is a heartfelt tribute to Ida's legacy and her vision for the estate.
